Blu & Gihon met through a mutual community of Genshin Impact Twitch streamers (a long, long time ago). Gihon found Blu's Twitch stream, intrigued by the beautiful blonde on his screen desperately trying not to die in the Okami PC remaster.

Capitvated by her, all he could manage to say was, "Has anyone told you that you sound like Toad from Mario?"

 They connected afterwards on more streams, and eventually decided to collaborate on a high-quality VTuber portfolio piece. Gihon made her a VTuber model for free that he claims is portfolio, but may secretly have been his attempt at wooing her with his artistic skill. It worked.

A year later, Gihon packed up and moved halfway across the country to the small town Blu called home. Later on, Gihon asked Blu to marry him in front of the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in front of her parents and older brother. She accepted happily, and the couple got married on April 7th, 2024.

The brand of "Blu & Gihon" started vending at conventions in an effort to live their dream of supporting each other financially with their art careers.

After one particular convention, Blu & Gihon had a fateful conversation during the several-hour-long drive home.

"Why not make a Webtoon?"
